I don’t know when I developed the weird tic of randomly using haiku to express an idea or observation. Maybe it was a response to Twitter’s wee character limit, or the inevitable side effect of all the bizarre text-kus sent by Trucker Dan as he described the batshit crazy things he saw on the road. (His classic, two-part ode to stingrays is still my favorite.) Whatever the reason, there are times when a switch flips in my brain and I can’t write something as a simple, straightforward sentence or narrative — it gets the 17-syllable treatment instead.

Which brings me to how I’m feeling about today’s “New! Content! April!” post:

Not feeling inspired.

Lengthy blog update will wait –

at least K. can’t nag.
